Operator Training Services
Basic Machine Safety and Familiarization (Model Specific)
- The focus of this course is to educate and familiarize experienced operators with regards to a specific machine model It will provide knowledge and understanding of the machines' systems and controls. This training is usually associated with the introduction and/or purchase of a new machine model
- The focus will be on the following areas:
Safety, Walk Around Inspection, ISO Symbols, Monitoring System, and Machine Controls
Competent Operator Training (Level I)
- Course is designed for entry level individuals interested in a career as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
- Operator safety awareness, basic machine familiarization training and an introduction to earthmoving fundamentals on a variety of machine families.
- Level I training provides a base foundation and along with additional "stick time", an individual can develop their skills to operate safely and proficiently.
- Attendees receive a Certificate of Completion at the conclusion of the training session.
- Minimum of 4 students/course, with a focus on 1-2 machine families in general or specific industry applications.
Professional Operator Training (Level II)
- Refinement and enhancement of experienced operator skills. Course focus remains on; safety, maintenance inspections, monitoring systems, control familiarization, operating techniques, and applications - but includes much more time in supervised equipment operation ("stick time").
- Experienced participants benefit by refining operating techniques and learning application tips and knowledge.
- Minimum of 4 students/course, with a focus on 1-2 machine families in general or specific industry applications.
Professional Operator Certification (Level III)
- Evaluation of the experienced operators skill set, coaching to fine tune these skills, and certification through demonstration of skills in completing established tasks to course standards. Participants that successfully demonstrate machine proficiency earn a Certificate of Registry and a personalized belt buckle. Note: Participants that do not meet certificate of registration standards will receive a certificate of participation.
- Ensures operator and application proficiency, by machine family, in a number of applications.
- This course is not intended for inexperienced operators (< 5 years operating applicable heavy construction equipment).
- Minimum of 4 students/course.
